Following the success of its opening year in 2017, White Island Classics (W.I.C.) returns bigger and better for 2018 with full support from the local community and our new sponsors, Lift Ibiza and Domus Nova Ibiza. The iconic skyline of Ibiza’s walled fortress (a Unesco World Heritage Site) once again provides the perfect backdrop for the event in Marina Botafoch.
W.I.C. brings some of the world’s most beautiful yachts to the waters of Ibiza and Formentera for a distinctly relaxed regatta honouring the values of what we believe are at the heart of classic sailing with friends and family. Held when Ibiza comes to life but remains uncrowded, W.I.C. has been embraced by locals and visitors alike. The event kicks off the social season and embodies the spirit of the island offering something for everyone, both on and off the water.
The Welcome Reception and Closing Party in the main tent at the heart of the Regatta Village in Marina Botafoch will be hosted our friends from Domus Nova Ibiza. The final “Classic Day” is open to the public with stunning vintage cars on display from Ibiza Car Club and an exhibition of traditional crafts and local produce. Following the Prizegiving ceremony, we will see the regatta out in true Ibiza fashion with music ‘til late!!!
