36 COPA DEL REY MAPFRE

The 36th King's Cup MAPFRE, will be organized by the Real Club Náutico de Palma (RCNP) and The Royal Spanish Sailing Federation (RFEV), with the sponsorship of MAPFRE and the collaboration of the Government of  Balearic Islands, Palma City Council, Port Authority Of Balears and the Balearic Sailing Federation.
This event is part of the GC32 Racing Tour for 2017 and scoring for the 2017 Maxi 72 Overall Trophy.
Two days into the start of the King's Cup MAPFRE, the 36th edition of the flagship regatta of the Real Club Nautico de Palma is confirmed as the largest of its almost four decades of history, with 140 teams registered from 24 countries. Also the number of participating classes will be a record, with ten categories. In three of them, Maxi 72, Mallorca Sotheby's IRC and Herbalife J80, the King's Cup MAPFRE is consolidated as a competition of extremes, which accommodates both monotype units of 8 meters in length and giants of 21 meters.
