Regatta-ready sailing superyachts for sale

Modern sailing superyachts are usually commissioned with at least one eye on the regatta circuit, for there’s no telling if the owner – or a subsequent buyer – might decide to take part in this, perhaps the most enjoyable of all water sports. It follows that sailing yachts nowadays are as suited to regattas as they are for family cruising and here we present five fine examples for sale.
 
54.6m Marie, price on application, Hoek Brokerage and Fraser Yachts Hoek Brokerage have jointly listed for sale the 54.6 metre sailing superyacht Marie with Fraser Yachts.
Designed by Hoek Design, Marie was built in Alustar by Dutch yard Vitters and launched in 2010. She accommodates up to 10 guests in four staterooms comprising a large master suite with a king size bed and his and hers en suite bathrooms, a VIP stateroom also with a king size bed plus a port and starboard twin and all staterooms have en suite facilities.
Traditional craftsmanship and modern technology have created a fast, comfortable sailing yacht with a light interior and a sophisticated style. The full width main saloon includes an interesting feature not usually found on a sailing yacht of a self-playing baby grand piano. She also boasts a modern entertainment system with a 52 inch television. The wood in the saloon and throughout the yacht is anigre, creating a warm, light atmosphere.
The deck is expansive with al fresco dining available on the foredeck. The deckhouse/upper saloon has a bar and comfortable seating area and access to the main saloon, a lower day head aft, and the cockpit. Aft of the deckhouse is the expansive covered cockpit with cushioned seating and drinks tables. This spacious area is also used for dining on deck and can accommodate a large table and chairs for 10 guests.
Marie is a regular contestant at the world’s premier yachting events, including the Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta, and she was a finalist in the 2011 World Superyacht Awards.

38.1m Twilight, €11.85m with VAT paid, Camper & Nicholsons and Burgess  Dubois Naval Architects and Oyster Marine worked together to develop the 38.1 metre Oyster 125 model launched in 2013 at Turkey’s RMK Marine as Twilight. The design brief was for a concept that could carry superyacht luxury and style but be capable of being built as a production yacht, with greater efficiency and speed. The 125 flybridge is a powerful composite performance cruising yacht with a stunning open plan split-level living area. The upper saloon offers a panoramic view, and accommodation is for eight guests in four staterooms: a master suite, two double staterooms and a twin cabin. The interior is in teak and light oak and all staterooms have en suite bathroom facilities.
Composite construction removes the need for a painted finish, significantly reducing maintenance costs and does not require the framework required in an aluminium-hulled yacht, thus optimising accommodation volume. Additionally, Twilight was built to Lloyds class and is MCA compliant.

30.2m Rusalka, €5.45m with VAT paid, Ocean Independence and McMaster Yachts Designed by German Frers, the 30.2 metre Rusalka was built in GRP by Finnish yard Nautor’s Swan and was delivered in 2007 as the seventh yacht in their Swan 100 S range. Her interior by Cristiana Serre is in hand-polished satin teak and she has a Jacuzzi spa. Accommodation is for up to nine guests in four staterooms including a master suite aft with double bed, writing desk and a sofa. All guest staterooms are air-conditioned and have state-of-the-art entertainment systems and en suite facilities.
Under power, a Cummins 224kW engine gives her a range of 2,300 nautical miles at eight knots. During her current ownership, Rusalka completed a thorough refit, including an overhaul to her engine and mechanical systems, new sails and a full repaint. She is now in immaculate condition and ready to go.

28.9m Mariposa 3a, €2.75m, Yachting Partners International The 28.9 metre Mariposa 3a was built at the Dutch Vitters yard with delivery in 1994 and a refit in 2012. This sleek sloop harks back to the great J Class yachts of yesteryear with her beautiful lines, classic sheer and low deckhouse profile. Yet she marries vintage looks to a modern Dubois hull and keel design for an extremely fast and seaworthy vessel capable of worldwide cruising in any weather.
Decor below by Redman Whiteley Dixon is as elegant as her exterior. Finished in blonde teak and exquisitely finished throughout, she accommodates six guests in three cabins, including an owner’s stateroom in the stern with a large queen-size bed, shower room, bidet and vanity, desk and good stowage, plus a double cabin and a twin, both en suite. There are quarters for three crew forward.

27.4m Nefertiti, €5.2m, bluewater and Berthon USA The 27.4 metre sloop rigged performance sailing yacht Nefertiti is jointly listed for sale by bluewater and Berthon USA.
Designed by German Frers, Nefertiti was built in GRP by Finnish yard Nautor’s Swan and was delivered in 2010 as a Swan 90 model. Features include a large main saloon easily seating eight guests for dinner. Spacious, light-filled accommodation for eight guests includes a master suite, double and two twin cabins, each with a Pullman berth. All have full en suite facilities. All hatches and fittings are flush with the deck for added safety and also provide a huge entertainment area in port. A Bimini top provides welcome shade over the cockpit and can be removed for competitive racing.
Nefertiti is the newest in her class and is in immaculate condition. She races on both the Mediterranean and Caribbean circuits, is fully commercial and available to charter.
